Fathers Day 2010

I couldn't resist making this cool card for Dad this year. I saw this technique on splitcoast and just had to case it. Of course I had to change a few things. Like I used the Karen Foster tool charms which are a little on the heavy side and then there's that cool cuddlebug folder I love using on MAN cards. I did cheat and use a sticker for the tool box as trying to make one proved impossible. I know there's no pic of the inside but it was just as cool with a pocket for a gift card.

Linda's Birthday

March 2010.  My dear friend Linda (who started me on all this madness) had a birthday this month and I had never tried a purse card before so here was my chance. I decided to use some embossing boards I had picked up at one of the many Scrapbook expo's I've been to. To my surprise they work pretty well after you get the feel for the direction your tool will go. I used some outline stickers for the bird and a gold butterfly. To see all the details please visit HarietsMom at Splitcoaststampers.

Daughters Birthday

March 2010. Here is the card I made for my daughters Birthday in March 2010.  I had a lot of fun with my punches and tried my hand at punching vellum. Pansies are one of my favorite flowers.

Mothers Day Card

May 2010.   This is the Mothers Day card I made for my dear mother this year. As always I was scrambling to decide at the last minute a card design or flowers that she doesn't already have (or at best a new design to wow her). I guess she's running out of shelve space. I decided to use some of the many Dufex decoupage layering flowers that I have collected and encased it under a plastic dome from flower soft. Oh, did I tell you my mom is one of my biggest fans.
Getting caught up on my blog will be the most important task for this week...ha ha.  So no one is confused on dates I will put a REAL date at the beginning of the post or at least let you know the occasion the card was made for. =^..^=

Halloween just around the corner

In one of the Splitcoast challenges this week is a Magical Marquee card challenge. I couldn't pass this one up because it looked like one of those things I had to try at least once. Well, it was a little challenging as I didn't have the exact punches to use. So, I thought I could use a nestibility just as some of the other gals had. Believe me when I say IT WAS challenging to change the format and use your own die. I used the nestie octagon and decided to go Halloween since it seems so close already. Of course I had to use my cuddlebug and folders also. Thanks for visiting.
